Change

January 6th 2024 Everything seems fragile. But is it?

Juggling Many Hats Podcast by Jessica Hunter.

January 6th, 2024.

Change.

This is where champions are made.

The world shifts.

It's always changing around us.

We can conform and become more like the world, or we can foster resilience, remain true to ourselves while growing stronger in who we are.

Everything seems fragile.

Plans, friends, time, health.

The noise of the world can make it all seem even more delicate.

Is it?

Is it really delicate?

With the wind howling and swirling around, the noise is deafening.

Each gust whips and bellows.

Each gust pummels the ground and tears at the tenuous footing that once seemed stable.

It feels as though the grip underfoot is being ripped away, as if instead of rock, there's only sand.

Is this it?

Is this where the power of the wind uproots all foundation?

If footing is lost, there will be gnarled limbs and shattered substance.

Will the power of the wind rip the shifting sand from under like a rug?

Will the power of the wind whittle away at the few grains of sand that hold footing?

Through the noise, there are small sounds; small consistencies of truth. A heartbeat.

It beats and powers truth through the faltering footing.

Remember what is true.

In the quiet of the heartbeat, the true and constant certainties of life ring louder than the wind.

Listen for the constants, even the small and quiet constant values.

What are the things that are firm?

What remains?

Like warm steam rising from a mug filled with comfort, the tiny voices of comfort continue to grow veins of establishment.

Tendrils of surety. They are strong in their consistency. The smallest pieces of absolutes in life reshape the footing even on the shifting sand. Focus homes in on those tiny absolutes and stability is regained. They are the glue. The roots.

The threads of Life that create a tapestry to withstand the storms.
